We are excited to host an event years in the making: A Brushy Creek Watershed Protection Plan Meeting!
A Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) is a voluntary, community-driven framework designed to improve water quality in a specific watershed by identifying pollution sources, establishing goals, and outlining management strategies. It brings together stakeholders—such as anglers, landowners, and community members—to create a science-based, actionable plan that protects local waterways.
At this meeting, guest speaker Sarah Stannard, Program Specialist with Texas Water Resources Institute, will share updates on watershed conditions and local projects. Attendees are encouraged to provide feedback and discussion on priorities and the development of the watershed protection plan.
As part of the fly fishing community, your input is critical to guide future watershed conservation initiatives for Brushy Creek!
